Among the many differences between Satan and God:

"Then Jesus said to Him, 'Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.' " Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him." (Matthew 4:10-11)

So you CAN get rid of the devil. Maybe not easily, but we can get rid of Satan. James 4:7 says, "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

But as for God...

"lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God." (Psalm 90:1-2)

And...

"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' " (Hebrews 13:5)

So don't give in to the one who can be overcome. Submit to the God who will always be.
